A brief musical biography of George Kirk Harris
I am a professional percussionist performing locally here in Pittsburgh and nationally in all types of venues, with a wide
variety of musical styles. Sharing the stage with some of music's top entertainers as both a sideman and with a band head
lining the show.
Participating in the now collectible Vestich Brothers "Live at Wofendale's" album in 1978, I developed an interest
in the recording arts, with a specialty in live recordings. In 1997 I turned my long held interest into a full-fledged recording
studio of my own. Since then, I have been involved in over 200 recordings with the majority of these in an on-location setting.
The list of recording artists has indeed been varied from church choirs, rap artists, alternative bands, to even opera
singers. With this, each has been able to showcase their talents whether in the studio, or in a live performance.
Being a current performer myself, I feel I have a view of recording from both the artist and the technical standpoint.
Working over the years with some great studio engineers and technicians, I have been able to take my experience and produce
recordings with precision to capture the artist's vision.
